On the February 15th, it was reported that multimillion management agency SM Entertainment donated 18 million won ($16030 US) to Korea University’s American football team, the Korea Tigers.

On a statement released by the team’s coach, An Sangeon, said, “CEO Kim Youngmin of SM Entertainment, who used to play on the team, donated the money to support the athletes.” As American football is not a popular sport in Korea, the team receives little funding other than from the university and mostly relies on donations from former players.

The team might ring some bells as the they were previously featured on Girls Generation’s music video “Oh!”, in which they participated as extras while Girls’ Generation played the role of their cheerleaders.
