This is one trend in Kpop, that I find really disturbing. Mind blowing and definitely catchy — but disturbing. And three idol stars have been legit enough to receive these letters. What am I talking about? Them fans sending bloody letters to their idols and upon questioned about it’s content — proves to be real after all. Real blood, real pain? Real fan? You decide.
Open this post for the victims and details:
Not for the faint hearted.
First Case: Ok Taecyeon
A fan letter last November 29, 2009 garnered a lot of attention after she posted a ‘period fan letter’ dedicating her period to her obsession, Ok Taecyeon. Sprinkled with some of her pubes. In it, comes her message:
I dedicate to Taecyeon my period blood letter
Ok Taecyeon, You cannot live without me
Sprinkled with a few strands of my pubes
After which when asked if it was legit or not, she has posted her bloody pad for the entire netizenry to see. ( FYI: I’m not posting it because it’s bloody disturbing). After it was confirmed, fans then traced her minihompy, enraged and full of hate for such act. The said fan then released her apology:
I am sorry. I apologize for bothering Taecyeon as well as his fans. I didn’t know it would get this big. I am not a SahSaeng fan, but just an obsessive girl.”
All’s well that ends well? I think not because even after such apology, fans are still threatening her disturbing acts which in return might lead to a lawsuit.
Case Number 2: Lee Joon
Days later, another crazy fan professes her own fan letter and challenges the previous fan to actually do it right. This time, showing her inked letter with blood, plus proof that she actually cut herself to create such.
This was her message:
“ㅋㅋ What up with Ok Taecyeon period letter? If you’re gonna do one, at least do it right ㅋㅋ How dirty. Period blood? Act your age ㅜㅜㅋ Don’t do that, but do it right. Do it right. Copying that ajumma who wrote that period letter”
“Lee Chang Sun (real name) don’t forget me, you are everything to me. I love you. Remember that. Soojin”
Case Number 3 & The Latest Victim: Lee Hongki
The latest idol to receive such letter is Lee Hongki, also with the same style of cutting herself — took a picture of it and made a message out of her own blood. Crazy? I know.
Her Message:
“Lee Honki, you know that I love you right?“
Case Number 4 and The Funny one : Park Jaebum
The last of the idols to receive such, was Park Jaebum — disturbing at first but when you look further on the fan’s post you’ll see that she actually did it with Ketchup. A relief to know that this was a fake one.

[...] Because this is mostly an opinion ranting piece (which I see this blog quickly becoming filled with with nothing but), I will spare the information. I will say however that there are 6 separate cases that all spawned from one self labeled “obsessive” girl who clearly needs more hobbies to take up her time. Somebody should disable her internet connection or something. The first case was a girl who used her period blood and a sprinkling of her pubes to write a letter. The second was wrist cutting. The third was cuts in fingers…see the trend here? There is more information here. [...]
